Description
The Central Loose Tube Outdoor Cable (GYXTW) is Netop’s entry-level outdoor fibre cable for aerial and pipeline runs where you need a lightweight, easy-to-handle build without sacrificing mechanical protection. A steel-wire parallel member sits alongside a corrugated tape armour layer, giving the cable enough tensile strength to span poles and enough crush resistance to survive duct pulls, while keeping the overall weight down at 78 kg/km.
It’s supplied in fibre counts from 2 to 12, which puts it squarely in the small-to-medium aerial or pipeline link category rather than trunk backbone territory – think last-mile aerial spans, small campus links, or short pipeline runs between buildings. If a high-fibre-count backbone is what’s needed instead, the Steel Tape Loose Tube (GYTS) or Dielectric Loose Tube (GYFTY) cables scale up to 144 fibres.
